BG Buildingworks, Inc. (BG) is a mid-size mechanical, electrical, plumbing, technology, lighting, acoustics engineering design and facility commissioning consulting firm. We have multiple offices located in the Western United States including Avon, Colorado; Denver, Colorado; Ft. Collins, Colorado; and Albuquerque, New Mexico. BG provides a wide spectrum of consulting services related to building and infrastructure design, operation, commissioning and sustainability. Services are provided nationwide and include homes, healthcare, government, education, commercial/mixed-use and hospitality clients. Our corporate mission is to provide client satisfaction and engineering excellence every day! Company History
The year was 1991. While a super power dissolved, a burgeoning power humbly materialized as Beaudin Ganze Consulting Engineers, a professional services firm offering MEP engineering services. When second-generation leadership assumed the mantel two decades later, the evolution of the company became BG Buildingworks, or as our friends refer to us, “BG”.
Building upon technical expertise and a vibrant culture, BG in the twenty-first century is an energetic firm cultivating long-term friendships and nurturing new relationships with clients and teaming partners. This trusted partnership is delivered across multiple market sectors including hospitality, healthcare, K-12 and higher education, government/civic, commercial, and single-and multi-family residential.
Today, BG fulfills systems through an expanded portfolio of services including mechanical, electrical, plumbing engineering, lighting design, technology, and acoustics along with an encompassing building systems integration approach which focuses on commissioning and testing and balancing with sustainability in mind. Our team includes experts who employ current technology and Revit modeling to optimize energy-efficient building systems to improve the function and bottom line for building owners. Through early program definition, focused project management, expert systems’ design and engineering, and highly-experienced construction phase services, BG collaborates to move beyond just connecting the dots for a project, but rather innovatively developing tailored solutions that understand and satisfy owner and project needs.

AWARD-WINNING HISTORY
June 11, 2019
The City of Aspen is honoring two of BG’s projects on Main Street with awards. The City’s Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) awards recognize projects that have made an outstanding contribution to historic preservation in Aspen and to thank the companies who helped. With a focus on keeping the buildings historically accurate, but modern in functionality, BG provided engineering design services for both projects.

At the annual SMPS Colorado Marketing Excellence Awards, BG was recognized in two categories. Hardware was brought home for Holiday Piece – Mixed which celebrated BG’s annual holiday client gifts which focused on the “Game Faces” of BG. The second award was for Newsletter – Internal, which acknowledged BG’s company newsletter, The Brew.
LICENSE AND REGISTRATION, PLEASE!

After starting his campaign in April 2018, Brian Robertson (FTC) won National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES)’s Western Zone Vice Presidency last August. His two-year term consists of participating in board meetings and the organization’s annual meetings. NCEES is an organization dedicated to advancing professional licensure and promoting a national dialogue of consistency. Currently headquartered in Clemson, SC, the organization will make Greenville, SC its new home sometime in late spring of 2020 after they assume a new building to house the growing organization’s numerous volunteers who work on writing engineering exams. As Brian wraps up his first year, he looks forward to finishing his term in order to seek the nomination as the organization’s president-elect in August 2020. Should he win the bid, he would serve a three-year term as president-elect before ascending to NCEES’ highest office as president.
